Job Description

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Human Resources is looking for a Manager or Director (non-officer level) candidate to join the COO/Ops Officer team. This role will interface with internal members across all areas of Human Resources as well as senior management at all levels of the business. This role is a unique opportunity to become part of a strategic team dedicated to enabling our clients to meet their business goals by focusing on their most important resource—their employees—and rethinking how HR work gets done through process optimization, AI, automation and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

 - Serve as the central coordination point for Wealth Management HR, driving the disciplined execution of enterprise talent, workforce planning, promotion, performance management and other strategic HR priorities through strong project management, stakeholder engagement, analytics and governance.

 - Shape and deliver high-impact experiences for the WM HR community, including Town Halls, Offsites, Learning Forums, onboarding and employee engagement activities that strengthen connection, capability and culture.

 - Partner across HR and the business to coordinate restructuring activities, workforce actions, organizational changes and other strategic initiatives, ensuring thoughtful planning, clear governance and seamless execution.

 - Identify and prioritize opportunities to simplify and rethink end-to-end HR processes, eliminate manual work and leverage AI, automation and other digital tools to improve speed, quality, consistency and the employee experience.

 - Lead process optimization initiatives from discovery through implementation—designing simpler future-state workflows, establishing appropriate controls and human oversight, driving adoption, and translating improvements into measurable capacity and efficiency gains.

 - Collaborate with WM & HR Sr. Management, WM Talent and D&I partners, Rewards and Analytics and other HR Product teams to ensure communication and execution on various initiatives & projects.

 - Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and within Human Resources,

 - Assist with HR Purchase location logistics, hoteling, space planning initiatives.

 * Note: the role is located in Purchase, NY or NYC (midtown).

Skills Required:

 - A Bachelor's degree and 3-6 years of Human Resources, Business or Project Management experience

 - Strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking and strong verbal and written skills

 - Ability to remain calm and execute in a fast-paced, high volume, ever changing environment

 - Ability to flex with the uncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization

 - Service and solutions oriented

 - Maturity to handle highly confidential matters and maintain discretion

 - Excellent interpersonal skills

 - Team oriented with strong influencing skills and demonstrated ability or aptitude for team leadership

 - Ability to engage in reasoned dialogue on all issues, to be flexible and affect change

 - Self-starter with strong project management, process improvement and change management skills

 - Curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to challenge existing ways of working and translate business needs into simpler, more efficient processes

 - Familiarity with AI, automation, workflow or data-visualization tools, and the judgment to apply them responsibly with appropriate attention to accuracy, confidentiality, risk and human oversight

 - Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio knowledge with aptitude to learn quickly

 - Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $91,000 and $131,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
