About the Role
Nscale is seeking a Director, Supply Planning & Supplier Capacity Management to convert demand forecasts into executable, capacity-backed supply plans across our global AI infrastructure footprint.
This role is responsible for translating deployment ramp requirements into secured manufacturing capacity with OEMs, ODMs, and critical infrastructure suppliers. You will ensure that supplier production capability aligns with Nscale’s growth trajectory, proactively managing allocation risk, silicon constraints, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
This position is critical to protecting deployment timelines, scaling infrastructure predictably, and ensuring material readiness across regions.
What You'll be Doing (Responsibilities)
- Develop and maintain executable supply plans for critical AI infrastructure components, including:
- GPUs
- Servers / compute nodes
- Rack integration
- Network switches
- Electrical gear (PDUs, transformers, switchgear)
- Cooling systems
- Translate demand forecasts into time-phased supply and capacity requirements.
- Model supplier production capacity against deployment ramp plans.
- Secure manufacturing slots and production allocation with OEMs, ODMs, and integration partners.
- Manage allocation strategies during silicon or component constraints.
- Lead structured shortage response “war rooms” to mitigate supply disruptions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between planning, procurement, engineering, and deployment teams.
- Track and manage supplier commit accuracy versus forecast.
- Ensure build plan adherence across multiple regions and deployment waves.
- Develop scenario models to anticipate risks related to supply bottlenecks and ramp volatility.
- Establish governance cadence and executive reporting for supply readiness and capacity risk.

About You (Skills / Qualifications)
- Extensive experience in supply planning, capacity management, or S&OP within hardware, semiconductor, or datacenter infrastructure environments.
- Proven track record converting demand forecasts into secured manufacturing capacity.
- Strong understanding of OEM / ODM manufacturing models and silicon allocation dynamics.
- Experience managing supply during constrained environments (e.g., GPU or semiconductor shortages).
- Advanced analytical capability in capacity modeling, scenario planning, and ramp forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional shortage response and executive-level escalation forums.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of supplier negotiations related to capacity reservations.
- Experience driving global supply alignment across multiple regions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive reporting.
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-scaling AI infrastructure environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in AI infrastructure, GPU cloud, or hyperscale datacenter supply chains.
- Familiarity with advanced planning systems (APS), ERP platforms, or supply chain analytics tools.
- Experience working with rack integration partners and complex infrastructure BOMs.
- Background in semiconductor or high-performance computing supply ecosystems.
