Your day to day as a Director, Government Affairs

As the Director of Government Affairs, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic advocacy initiatives that align with the Ohio Credit Union League's mission. Daily tasks will include monitoring legislation and regulatory developments that impact the credit union sector, preparing comprehensive reports and position papers, and representing the organization in key meetings with policymakers. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights and craft compelling messaging that resonates with legislators. Additionally, you will engage with member credit unions to facilitate grassroots advocacy efforts, ensuring their voices are heard. Regular communication with various stakeholders and participation in industry events will be essential, along with building strong relationships in the government space to promote a customer-centric approach to advocacy.

To excel as the Director of Government Affairs, strong communication and interpersonal skills are paramount, as you will liaise with a diverse array of stakeholders, including government officials and credit union representatives.
