About the role:
Pacvue is expanding its programmatic activation and commerce media infrastructure to better connect offsite media to retailer performance outcomes.
The Director of Programmatic Supply & Marketplace Strategy will lead Pacvue's supply-side media strategy, with primary responsibility for building and optimizing programmatic inventory partnerships, SSP relationships, and curated marketplace access that drive measurable commerce performance.
This role will focus on developing Pacvue's differentiated supply ecosystem, ensuring access to high-performing inventory aligned with retailer conversion outcomes, and building scalable marketplace relationships that strengthen Pacvue's performance capabilities.
The position partners closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Partnerships, and Commercial teams to ensure supply strategy aligns with optimization, measurement, and retail signal integration.
This is a highly strategic and operational leadership role reporting into senior product leadership. While the role includes commercial and partner-facing responsibilities, its primary focus is building Pacvue's long-term supply and marketplace ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Supply Strategy & Marketplace Development
- Define and execute Pacvue's programmatic supply strategy across SSPs, exchanges, publishers, and curated marketplaces.
- Identify and negotiate commercial terms, curated inventory access, and private marketplace (PMP) deals that drive commerce performance.
- Identify and onboard emerging supply partners that support offsite retail media and commerce innovation.
SSP & Publisher Partnerships
- Build and manage strategic relationships with SSPs, exchanges, publisher networks, and commerce content partners.
- Negotiate commercial agreements including data collaboration, supply routing structures, auction participation, and performance-based deal frameworks.
- Partner with publishers and SSPs to co-develop commerce-aligned inventory offerings and curated marketplace solutions.
- Collaborate with partners to improve transparency, signal quality, and supply performance metrics.
- Monitor supply performance, win rates, bid density, and conversion outcomes to continuously refine marketplace strategy.
Marketplace & Optimization Alignment
- Design and operationalize private marketplace strategies that support SKU-level and performance-driven activation.
- Partner with supply partners on deal structuring, floor strategies, and marketplace configuration.
- Collaborate with data science and optimization teams to incorporate supply-level signals into performance models.
- Ensure supply strategy aligns with Pacvue's broader media activation, measurement, and retail signal architecture.
Market Intelligence & Positioning
- Monitor trends across programmatic supply, supply path optimization (SPO), curated marketplaces, and commerce media.
- Identify opportunities to differentiate Pacvue's supply ecosystem through signal collaboration and commerce-driven innovation.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership on evolving marketplace dynamics and partnership opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, adtech, or retail media, with strong exposure to supply-side ecosystems.
- Direct experience negotiating and managing SSP, publisher, exchange, or marketplace partnerships.
- Deep understanding of PMP, preferred deal, and curated marketplace construction and optimization.
- Familiarity with performance optimization workflows and programmatic activation infrastructure.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Partnerships teams.
- Data-driven mindset with comfort analyzing supply yield, performance metrics, and marketplace economics.
- Excellent negotiation, partnership management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience operating within privacy-safe or partner-governed data environments is a plus.

The annual base salary range for this position is $190,000-$210,000. The actual salary will vary depending on the applicant's experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data for their location. This position is also eligible for an additional annual bonus compensation through one of Pacvue's highly attractive incentive plans, full details will be provided during the recruitment process.
