This role serves as the enterprise lead for associate experience data, survey measurement, and advanced analytics, owning both the science and the strategy behind how the firm measures, analyzes, and improves the employee experience.
The Director leads a multidisciplinary analytics team (survey researchers, statisticians, analysts, and data scientists) and acts as the senior expert on survey methodology, measurement rigor, advanced analytics, and insight delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring associate experience data is scientifically sound, analytically robust, and decision‑ready for senior HR and business leaders.
This role has significant influence without direct client responsibility, partnering closely with HR, People Analytics, IT, and senior business leaders
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Associate Experience Measurement & Survey Leadership
Serve as the firm’s senior expert on survey science and human capital measurement
Own the design and evolution of enterprise‑wide associate experience surveys, including:
Question and scale design
Sampling strategy and survey methodology
Longitudinal comparability and trend integrity
Oversee survey deployment across enterprise platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Perceptyx)
Establish and enforce measurement standards and best practices to ensure scientific validity and consistency
Act as the escalation point for complex methodological decisions or measurement risks
Advanced Analytics & Insight Strategy
Lead advanced analytical approaches, including:
Key driver and linkage analysis
Predictive modeling
Workforce segmentation and cohort analysis
Longitudinal and trend analysis
Ensure analytics are translated into clear, compelling insights for senior leaders
Guide development of dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g., Tableau, Prism)
Influence enterprise decisions by connecting analytics to organizational outcomes
Set standards for analytical storytelling and executive‑level communication
Data Governance, Quality & Integration
Own data governance for all associate experience and survey‑related datasets
Partner with HR data teams, IT, and enterprise analytics to:
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
Define data standards, documentation, and controls
Improve data flows and system integrations
Oversee data preparation and quality management to support advanced analytics and future machine‑learning initiatives
Serve as a strategic connector across data, analytics, and HR partners
Organizational Capability & Team Leadership
Build, coach, and lead a high‑performing team of analysts, statisticians, and data professionals
Set clear performance expectations aligned to enterprise priorities
Hold leaders and team members accountable for quality, rigor, and impact
Identify capability gaps and implement targeted development plans
Foster a culture of curiosity, discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Strategic Influence & Business Partnership
Advise senior HR and business leaders on:
Associate experience trends, risks, and opportunities
Measurement implications for strategy, programs, and change initiatives
Definition and evolution of experience‑related KPIs
Support organizational effectiveness and transformation initiatives through data‑driven insights
Influence enterprise listening and analytics roadmaps
Lead through expertise—driving alignment and decisions without direct authority
Skills and Competencies:
Uses deep understanding of human capital measurement, analytics, and organizational dynamics to guide decisions
Anticipates future analytical and measurement needs and builds forward‑looking strategies
Breaks down complex datasets and statistical outputs into clear, actionable insights
Balances methodological rigor with pragmatic business application
Plans and prioritizes work to align analytics efforts with strategic goals
Communicates persuasive, well‑reasoned recommendations to senior leaders
Builds trusted partnerships across HR, Analytics, IT, and the business
Develops and motivates high‑performing teams through coaching and feedback
Adapts leadership style to different stakeholders and situations
Continuously improves processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and impact
Applies expert‑level survey, analytics, and data governance knowledge to ensure credible outcomes
Demonstrates adaptability and innovation in evolving organizational environments
Education and Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or related field required
10–15+ years of experience in people analytics, survey research, or human capital analytics
6–10+ years of people and/or functional leadership experience
Demonstrated expertise in:
Survey design and psychometrics
Advanced statistical analysis (SPSS required)
Workforce or associate experience analytics
Experience with enterprise survey platforms (Qualtrics, Perceptyx preferred)
Advanced data visualization experience (Tableau, Prism preferred)
Exposure to applied machine learning or advanced analytics concepts a plus
