Director (RN) Surgical ServicesLocation: Missoula, MT 59804 (Onsite)Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Director (RN) Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing all surgical services operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient department management. This leadership role includes responsibility for staff supervision, operational performance, and strategic planning within the surgical services department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of surgical services, including OR, pre-op, and post-op areas• Lead, mentor, and manage nursing and clinical staff• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards• Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources• Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and cross-functional teams• Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements• Support staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning• Maintain high standards of clinical care and operational excellence

Must-Have Skills

• Active or eligible Montana RN license• 5+ years of Surgical Services nursing experience• Leadership experience at Manager or Director level• Strong clinical and operational knowledge

Required Skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Master's degree (MSN, MHA, or MBA)• BLS certification upon hire• PALS and ACLS within 6 months

Industry Experience

• Acute care hospital / surgical services required

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required• Advanced degree preferred
