The Information Security organization is seeking a Director to lead our Reliability & Operational Excellence practice. You will be responsible for implementing HA Ops strategies to predict and prevent incidents and ensuring the resilience of critical security systems. Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the transformation of the Operational Excellence function into a world-classInformation Security Reliability Engineering practice.
- Lead theimplementationofInfoSec’sstrategic roadmap forHAOps,using modern toolingto reduce alert fatigue and predict system anomalies.
- Collaborate with FellowsandEngineers toadopt and implementHAobservability standards.
- Direct your team to build andmaintaincomplex ServiceNow workflows and catalog items. You will automate manual request fulfillment (e.g., access grants,firewallchanges) to reduce toil and improve delivery speed.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the management of standardized change processes,utilizingintelligent automation to streamline approvals and compliance checks.
- Enhance change management reporting, delivering comprehensive analytics on stability and velocity.
- Use GTP toolingtoestablisha robust framework for incident and problem management, including AI-assisted post-incident debriefs and automated root-cause analysis drafting.
- Orchestrate InfoSec’s decisive response to P-Level incidents, minimizing Mean Time to Mitigate (MTTM).
Reliability Engineering
- Collaborate with Engineers and Fellows toestablishand enforce standards for High Availability (HA) and reliability across all InfoSec applications.
- Utilize GTP tooling to implementpredictive capacity planning modelsto forecastandmaintainefficientcloud compute usage and infrastructure loads.
- Develop real-timeapplicationhealth dashboards and integrated performance monitoring.
- Champion "Self-Healing" infrastructure initiatives, using automation to detectand recover system anomalies
- Support InfoSec teams in meeting operational excellence targets andmaintainingavailabilitypersystemSLO.
Collaboration and Communication
- Coordinate with Global TechandInfoSec engineeringteams to ensure alignment on reliability goals.
- Partner with service owners to ensure required observabilityandAI-based monitoring toolsare correctly implemented.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering on-call rotation, fostering a culture of blameless retrospectives.
What You Will Bring
- SRE & Security Leadership:10+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Information Security Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- AI & Automation Fluency:Proven experience implementingobservability andAPM platforms(e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog Watchdog) and integratingLLM/Generative AItools to accelerate engineering workflows.
- Incident Command:Extensive experience managing P1/P0 critical incidents and leading "war rooms" under pressure.
- Technical Depth:Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/GCP)Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and modern observability stacks.
- Data-Driven Mindset:Ability to distinguish between vanity metrics and actionable data, using analytics to drive continuous improvement in system stability.
