About the Role

This senior-level role leads marketing for the US Wealth business, and is a member of and key contributor to the global marketing leadership team.  This role will report to the global Head of Marketing. This individual will lead the team responsible for the development, direction, execution, and measurement of the marketing strategy and supporting programs that position and promote the firm’s reputation, brand, investment capabilities and products/funds for US Wealth. This marketing leader will serve as a strategic thought partner to the business and will partner closely with key stakeholders including sales, relationship management, product management, fund sponsors organizations, compliance, and investors.

The candidate is expected to bring extensive knowledge and experience in working with different investor types and investment strategies across all major asset classes as well as alternatives and privates.  The individual will have experience with multiple marketing disciplines, including persona and buyer journey development, product positioning for buyers in the region, public relations, campaign development, and thought leadership. This role requires the ability to establish strong and collaborative working relationships across functions and geographies as well as to manage and lead a local team members located across four locations.   

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of US Wealth marketing function and team.
  • Serve as the strategic marketing lead for the US Wealth business, partnering closely with US Wealth leadership, including national accounts, distribution enablement and product
  • Act as a senior advisor to internal stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable marketing plans.
  • Lead large-scale campaigns and thought leadership initiatives tailored to financial advisors and wealth platforms.
  • Lead messaging across digital, thought leadership and education, events, email, social, and paid media channels. Messaging will also contribute to PR efforts.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to inform positioning and outreach.
  • Measurement and metrics of marketing programs and communication of progress to key stakeholders.
  • Represent US Wealth Marketing in global or cross-functional forums and contribute to firm-wide marketing initiatives
  • Managing the US Wealth marketing budget

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Extensive US Wealth marketing experience within the asset management industry
  • Skilled manager and leader with track record of hiring, developing, and motivating talent
  • Proven ability to bridge marketing and business strategy – translating growth goals into actionable marketing plans.
  • Executive presence and skilled at building credibility with senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Digital-first mindset and familiarity across marketing technology platforms.
  • Ability to work in global organisation managing multiple stakeholders and tight timelines
  • Strategic thinker with operational discipline.
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on what activities will have the greatest impact on the business
  • Demonstrated interest in investments and solid knowledge across both traditional and alternative asset classes
  • Passion for working in a collaborative environment as part of a global team
  • Creative marketer who stays abreast of evolving practices inside and outside the industry
  • Strong influencer and skilled communicator with variety of stakeholders including senior management

The base salary range for this position is:

USD 120,000 - 225,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
