Job Description
NEON is looking for a Director of Exhibitor Relations to manage and grow our relationships with major theater circuits and leading independent and arthouse exhibitors nationwide.
This person will drive in-theater market efforts, from creative in-theater marketing campaigns and promotional partnerships to premieres, special screenings, filmmaker/talent appearances, and, helping deliver innovative and successful theatrical campaigns for NEON.
We’re looking for someone who is highly collaborative, deeply connected within the exhibition community, and excited by the challenge of building smart, creative theatrical campaigns that feel tailored, ambitious, and culturally impactful.
The ideal candidate is equal parts relationship-builder, strategist, and operator, someone who can move easily between big-picture partnership conversations and the detailed coordination required to bring campaigns to life successfully.
In this role you will:
- Work closely with the Marketing, Design and Delivery departments to obtain trailer deliverables, AV and static assets for the theatrical department; this ensures placement with theaters for both on-screen, in-theater and digital exhibition.
- Maintain strong relationships and manage theatrical accounts with various exhibitors to build direct media programs for NEON releases, as well as on-site promotional opportunities; including pitch marketing concepts to secure opportunities, negotiate and manage proposal budgets, execute programs and recaps.
- Manage one-sheet printing and budgeting, and coordination with our fulfillment shipping house.
- Collaborate with other team members for trailer placement strategies and maintaining and sharing out trailer requests and trailer reports.
- Collaborate with other team members for in-theater signage/standee strategy, including liaising with vendors and overseeing production and installation of assets.
- Manage special screenings for NEON releases.
- Coordinate with theaters for special events, making sure talent is handled upon entry and exit, secure microphones, chairs, social slides on screen, sound and projection
- Attend screenings in-person to make sure all events run smoothly, and we have a NEON representative on site
- Manage relationships with premium format partners including IMAX, Dolby, Barco, Dbox for promotional partnerships and assets.
- Oversee weekly exhibitor relations blasts.
- Develop high-quality presentations and campaign decks using Keynote and PowerPoint.
- Build, update, and finalize campaign calendars, tracking documents, reports, and presentations to support project execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Design, Publicity, International and Digital teams to drive cohesive campaigns.
- Monitor box office performance, market trends, audience behavior, and competitive releases to inform exhibitor strategy.
- Provide leadership with updates and reporting on exhibitor engagement, campaign effectiveness, and market feedback.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, screenings, and exhibitor regional and national conferences.
- Mentor and manage coordinator and manager-level team members as applicable.
This role is based in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA, with a hybrid 3 day in-office work arrangement and occasional travel between locations.
Our target salary range for this role is between $105,000 to $120,000. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. In the interest of transparency, the salary rate shown reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on experience, knowledge, skills and internal equity.

Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in exhibitor relations, studio relations, or a related field.
- Established relationships within the theatrical exhibition community preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage high-profile partnerships and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and resourcefulness.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven entertainment environment.
