Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a unique combination. We need a natural networker who loves to socialize, work a room, and attend community events, but who also has that focused, Type A drive to stay meticulously organized.
If you are someone who thrives on meeting new people and building a massive local network, but you also obsess over keeping your calendar tight, following up exactly when you say you will, and never letting a strong candidate slip through the cracks, this is the exact role for you.
District 44 14 is hiring a Director of Agency Talent to find the next generation of Farmers agency owners. This is not a desk job where you post ads and wait. We need a high energy, thorough scout who can build pipelines out in the community and run a tight, disciplined process behind the scenes.
Who We Are Looking For:
- The Organized Extrovert: You genuinely love socializing and building relationships, but you match that energy with a highly organized, Type A approach to managing your schedule and task list.
- Relentless Follow Up Habits: You take pride in being thorough. Speed to contact and consistent communication are second nature to you.
- Sales or Networking Experience: A proven background in relationship based sales, business development, or proactive recruiting.
- Self Motivated & Accountable: You do not need to be micromanaged. You know how to fill your calendar with valuable events and meetings, and you hold yourself to high performance baselines.
- Professional and Clean Record: You make an exceptional first impression and can confidently represent the district. A clean background check is required. No prior insurance experience is required; we will train you on the industry.
Salary Range: $65000.00 - $75000.00 per year

What You Will Do Day to Day:
- Work the Room: Spend a significant part of your week out in the community attending local business mixers, chamber events, referral group meetings, and social gatherings.
- Build the Pipeline: Turn casual conversations into real recruiting opportunities by spotting driven professionals who have what it takes to run an insurance agency.
- Run a Tight Follow Up System: Maintain a disciplined, consistent cadenced follow up with every lead. You will keep candidate data updated and ensure no candidate feels ghosted or forgotten.
- Manage the Funnel: Handle the initial screening conversations, move candidates efficiently through the vetting process, and coordinate final interviews with the leadership team.
- Nurture Long Term Leads: Keep a structured database of warm contacts and referral partners, checking in regularly to keep the pipeline active.
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in recruiting, business development, or sales, with a demonstrated track record of building and maintaining a strong professional network.
- Prior experience recruiting for insurance agencies, financial services, real estate, or another entrepreneurial or commission-based industry strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to source and close candidates through personal relationships and referrals, not just job board postings.
- Comfortable representing the district publicly at networking events, industry associations, and community organizations.
- Strong track record of building a pipeline from scratch and keeping it consistently full.
- Excellent judgment in evaluating whether a candidate has the drive, capital, and temperament to succeed as an agency owner.
- Confident, polished communicator who can represent Farmers Insurance professionally in front of prospective candidates, referral partners, and community leaders.
- Highly organized; able to manage a full pipeline of contacts and candidates across multiple stages without letting relationships go cold.
- Insurance industry knowledge is a plus but not required. We will train the right person on Farmers systems and licensing pathways.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, though a strong record of relationship driven results will be weighed at least as heavily.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Georgia residency required. Regular local travel expected.
