And the Director of Business Development is the connector at the center of it all. In this high-impact role, you’ll be the tip of the spear—responsible for identifying new opportunities, building lasting referral relationships, and driving revenue across all divisions. You'll collaborate closely with company leadership, estimators, and operations teams to generate leads, expand market presence, and fuel strategic growth throughout Northern Virginia and surrounding regions. You’re not just selling a service—you’re opening doors, earning trust, and building a legacy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Lead all new business development efforts across CaseCoBuild and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects across commercial, residential, and insurance sectors Develop and close strategic partnerships with insurance adjusters, property managers, GCs, and real estate professionalsSet and pursue quarterly revenue targets with full accountability to the Partner Track all BD activity in CRM with weekly pipeline and revenue reportingReferral Network & Strategic Partnerships
Establish and grow referral programs that generate consistent, measurable inbound revenue Represent CaseCo and Merit at industry events, trade associations, and community networking opportunitiesBuild long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business across all divisionsProposals, Bids & Negotiations
Collaborate with operations and leadership on proposals, bid strategy, and contract termsLead client-facing presentations with confidence and credibility Own the full sales process from first contact through signed contract and collected revenueBrand & Market Presence
Represent CaseCo and Merit professionally in all market-facing interactions Partner with leadership on brand positioning and visibility in target marketsSupport marketing initiatives that amplify business development efforts across all four brandsReporting & Accountability
All BD activity must be logged in the CRM in real time — every call, meeting, proposal, referral, and deal. If it is not in the CRM, it did not happenWeekly: minimum activity targets for outreach, meetings held, and pipeline updates — reviewed every week with leadership Monthly: pipeline review, revenue closed, new relationships added, and commission reconciliation — reviewed on the first week of each monthQuarterly: revenue targets, KPI scorecard review, goal-setting for the next quarter — reviewed with the Partner at the start of each quarter A KPI scorecard with specific weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals will be established within your first 30 days and updated each quarterFailure to maintain CRM discipline is a performance issue — consistent gaps in logging will be addressed through the formal performance review processRequirements
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of B2B business development or outside sales experienceBackground in construction, restoration, insurance, plumbing, or skilled trades strongly preferred Proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets with measurable resultsExisting network in insurance, commercial real estate, or property management is a strong advantage Experience managing a CRM and delivering data-driven pipeline reportsComfortable working across multiple brands and business lines simultaneouslyIDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
