Job Summary
As SCM’s Business Development, you will be based in the corporate office, contributing to the leadership of the construction team. This position will involve overseeing all project execution and leading and developing project leadership and our front line managers to execute projects safely, on time, and within budget. The right candidate should be an assertive leader who is comfortable speaking in front of groups and communicating with clients internally and externally. Additionally, this position will require working with the preconstruction team, negotiating contracts, reviewing schedules, and monthly project financials. The ideal candidate exemplifies leadership, is detail-oriented, a self-learner, a builder of processes, and comfortable maintaining a work-life balance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Obtain $50-100M in Annual Revenue
Strategic and Tactical execution of SCM Strategic Plan.
Develop and oversee, project teams across the country.
Focused on the safety of our teams and all project stakeholders.
Reviewing and negotiating contracts.
Manage monthly project financials, schedules, and forecasts.
Attending State and National Trade Shows.
Engage in speaking events at industry related trade shows and events.
Support recruiting and hiring of new team members.
Support the estimating and preconstruction team to ensure projects are awarded and completed successfully.
Coordinate and schedule meetings and communication plan(s) regarding projects among team and/or client.
Lead the project close-out procedures to ensure projects are turned over successfully.
Assist Project Manager in setting metrics for KPI’s that align with SCM and customers objectives.
Work closely with the project and construction management team to evaluate supplier performance indicators, invoices/billings, schedule, and budgets.
Lead Pre-Mortem and Post-Mortem risk reviews.
Assist in annual planning and program build out of SOP’s.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
8+ Years of relevant experience at a commercial general contractor
Bachelor’s degree
Customer service mindset
Communication skills
Project Management experience
Proficiency with Procore a plus
Proficiency with AIA contracts
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
A drive to learn and do as much as possible in an entrepreneurial setting
Ability to use one’s own autonomy and creativity to be macro-managed with mentorship
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel), and Google Suite products.
- Competitive base salary: Full-time salaried position: $75,000 - $125,000 per year, plus a target commission of $75,000.
