We are seeking a highly proactive and experienced Director of Compliance to lead our regulatory framework. As we expand our product offerings and enter new markets, this role is critical in ensuring that our telehealth platform, pharmacy partnerships, and prescription fulfillment processes adhere to the highest standards of safety, ethics, and legal compliance. You will serve as the primary liaison between our operational teams and state/federal regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

      Regulatory Compliance & Strategy 
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program covering all aspects of telehealth and pharmacy operations across all 50 states. 
    • Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in federal and state laws (e.g., DEA, FDA compounding regulations, state Board of Pharmacy rules) that impact our current business model. 
    • Manage the licensure process for the company and its affiliated medical professionals, ensuring that all credentials remain active and compliant. 
    • Telehealth & Clinical Operations Oversight
    • Ensure that all telehealth practices adhere to standard-of-care requirements, including informed consent protocols, patient identification, and medical record retention regulations. 
    • Partner with the executive staff to maintain rigorous clinical protocols for online consultations and prescribing practices. 
    • Operate online platforms, pharmacies and the overall compliance of the company  
    • Pharmacy & Fulfillment Audit Readiness
    • Serve as the lead for audits conducted by Boards of Pharmacy, the DEA, or other regulatory agencies. 
    • Conduct regular internal audits of pharmacy partnerships, focusing on drug storage, compounding quality control (USP standards), dispensing accuracy, and shipping records. 
    • Manage the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) process, ensuring that any identified compliance deficiencies are documented, addressed, and remedied promptly. 
    • Cross-Functional Risk Management
    • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to review new product features and marketing materials for regulatory compliance. 
    • Oversee legal and compliance teams at the pharmacies  
    • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees and contractors to foster a culture of integrity. 
    • Qualifications:
      Education & Experience
    • Experience: 8–10+ years of compliance experience in the healthcare industry, with at least 5 years specifically focused on pharmacy operations or telemedicine. 
    • Licensure & Certifications : CPCO, CRMA, CISA CHC, CHPC, CIPP/US, CHPS, Juris Doctor, BCTP 
    • Previous experience as a paralegal or senior compliance role overseeing private medical information 
    • Experience with Terms and Conditions, Medical, Patient and Ecomm Disclosures 
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of FDA regulations (specifically 503A or 503B compounding), DEA controlled substance regulations, and state-specific telehealth laws. 
    • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex legal regulations into actionable operational protocols for non-legal teams. 
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in a high-growth, DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) startup environment. 
    • Experience launching new healthcare products in a regulated environment.
