Description

  • Oversee all construction operations, including planning, staffing, scheduling, and execution
  • Lead project managers, field supervisors, and construction teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery
  • Review project scopes, budgets, and estimates to confirm accuracy and alignment with client expectations
  • Implement and refine construction processes, standards, and reporting systems
  • Support preconstruction activities including design‑build reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive growth strategies within the construction division
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality control measures
  • Oversee resource allocation, equipment planning, and workforce scheduling across multiple projects
  • Identify operational efficiencies and drive continuous improvement

Profile

A successful Director of Construction - Mechanical should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial construction management
  • Proven leadership background directing project managers and field teams
  • Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis
  • Deep understanding of commercial/industrial mechanical systems and construction methods
  • Skilled at reading plans, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication, decision‑making, and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects in fast‑paced environments
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction
