Description
The Director of Construction will be responsible for:
- Reporting directly into the CEO
- Leading and managing all phases of high-end luxury residential construction projects from start to finish.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Collaborating with architects, designers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Overseeing quality control and ensuring adherence to safety standards on-site.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Analyzing project performance and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Leading and mentoring project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Profile
The right candidate has the following qualifications:
- 15-20+ years of relevant experience
- Experience leading a team - will be overseeing 4 PMs & 4 APMs
- Must have strong leadership and communication skills
- A strong background in managing high-end luxury residential construction projects
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate project teams effectively
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with clients and stakeholders
- A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining top-tier quality
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
