Job Description Summary
Evergreen Holdings seeks a strategic communications professional to establish and lead corporate communications across our growing portfolio of companies. Initially supporting Hunt Electric (75%) and Evergreen Holdings (25%), this role will transition to full-time Evergreen Holdings corporate communications within 2-3 years as we continue strategic growth initiatives. This position is based in our Eagan, MN office and requires regular travel (approximately 25–50%) to portfolio companies and acquisition sites to support organizational needs and collaboration.Job Description:
Role & Responsibilities
Core Functions
- Develops and executes annual corporate communications plans and calendars.
- Creates compelling key messages reflecting brand values across portfolio companies.
- Manages crisis communications with scenario-based response plans.
- Develops CEO speeches and provides executive communication support.
- Collaborates with HR, Legal, and Marketing on strategic communications.
- Manages media relations related to acquisition announcements and corporate milestones.
Immediate Focus (~Year 1-2)
- Creates a foundational suite of communication materials that describe the Evergreen portfolio and points of differentiation.
- Leads communications strategy for major organizational alignment at Hunt Electric, including leadership transitions and structural changes
- Develops messaging framework that positions change as strategic evolution from $100MM to $1.1B+ company structure.
- Creates and executes communication plans for ESOP stakeholder updates and education.
- Supports CEO transition communications as leadership moves from operational to holding company focus.
Long-term Focus (~Years 2-4)
- Manages corporate communications for expanding holding company portfolio.
- Develop acquisition announcement strategies and integration communications.
- Preserves distinct company cultures while facilitating cross-portfolio knowledge sharing.
- Creates ESOP shareholder communications for employee-owners across portfolio companies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- 6+ years of corporate, agency, or nonprofit communications experience.
- Proven track record of creating comprehensive communications materials.
- Strong interpersonal communication and writing abilities.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
- Experience with change management communications preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and project management tools.

- Experience in ESOP and employee-owned organizations a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and photocopiers.
- This position is generally sedentary. Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
- This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
- This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
- Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented construction environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments.
Pay Range:
$140,000.00 - $180,000.00Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only. In addition to base compensation, Hunt Electric offers a robust benefits plan.
