Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Enterprise Communications:

  • Lead and manage all company-wide internal communications, including All Hands messaging, crisis communications, CORE meeting materials, and executive announcements.
  • Proactively engage department leaders and operational teams to identify upcoming initiatives requiring communications support.
  • Partner closely with the CEO, COO, Marketing leadership, HR, and other executives to align enterprise messaging and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level presentations and communication materials with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Oversee the Universal Communications inbox and ensure timely, professional responses to employee inquiries.

Intranet & Content Governance (uConnect):

  • Serve as primary owner of all intranet content, maintaining adequate cadence and ensuring accuracy and engagement.
  • Manage editorial calendar and collaborate with internal stakeholders to curate relevant, timely content.
  • Conduct periodic outreach to department leaders to ensure pages reflect current initiatives and operational updates.
  • Maintain governance over company-wide announcements and digital dashboard functionality.

Employee Engagement & Culture:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of CEO CORE Quarterly meetings and the Annual Employee Kickoff, serving as the primary architect of executive coordination, agenda development, messaging flow, and presentation integration.
  • Partner directly with the VP of Marketing to align agendas, messaging strategy, and presentation materials to enterprise priorities and leadership vision.
  • Oversee onboarding communications in partnership with HR to ensure a cohesive employee experience.
  • Manage employee pulse surveys, recognition programs (UIH Award, Loyalty Awards), and Great Place to Work initiatives.
  • Drive proactive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, participation, and awareness across the organization.

Community Outreach & Corporate Responsibility:

  • Manage enterprise community partnerships and annual philanthropic budget oversight.
  • Coordinate employee engagement events in partnership with nonprofit organizations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with community partners and executive stakeholders.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, reporting efforts, and corporate social responsibility communications.

External & Brand Communications:

  • Maintain corporate website content including Careers and Sustainability pages.
  • Oversee corporate LinkedIn content and milestone announcements.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms.

Professional Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify communication needs without waiting for direction.
  • Executive presence with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy when collaborating with operational departments.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive corporate information.
  • Ability to manage multiple enterprise initiatives simultaneously with strong organizational discipline.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Advanced presentation development skills (PowerPoint) and strong written communication abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or enterprise engagement.
  • Experience working directly with executive leadership teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SharePoint and digital content platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement, culture, or corporate responsibility initiatives is highly desirable.
