Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Information Services to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution.
In this pivotal role, you will propose implementation methods for program content, drive continual process improvement in application services, and apply your deep knowledge of healthcare operations to guide the design and deployment of critical systems. We are looking for an innovator who can balance emerging technology trends with practical, cost-effective solutions.
What You Will Do
As a key leader within our organization, your responsibilities will span strategic planning, operational oversight, and team mentorship:
- Operational Excellence: Monitor and report on resource utilization to ensure Information Services effectively prioritizes its body of work.
- Systems Optimization: Provide oversight for the analysis of current systems and procedures, developing workflow modifications to optimize organizational processes.
- Strategic Engagement: Proactively partner with business units and senior leadership to establish clear expectations and align technology with organizational objectives.
- Service Level Management: Establish and report on end-user support service levels, driving improvements through the lens of both management and the end-user.
- Leadership & Development: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing team. You will be responsible for supervising, motivating, and promoting the professional growth of your direct reports through coaching and role modeling.
- Project Management: Successfully manage a full workload across multiple complex projects while simultaneously leading your team.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Expertise: 5+ years in an IT leadership role, with at least 3 years focused on implementation and optimization in a complex, multi-site environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with major healthcare information systems; Epic and associated products are strongly preferred.
- Process & Finance: Experience with ITIL support and delivery processes (certification preferred) and proficiency in managing multi-million-dollar departmental budgets.
- Matrix Management: Proven track record of managing customer support within a highly matrixed organization.
