About the Role
HJ Staffing is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Information Services to lead the design, development, and delivery of critical healthcare technology systems. This role plays a key part in aligning IT strategy with organizational goals, optimizing system performance, and driving innovation across multiple programs.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of healthcare IT expertise, leadership, and operational excellence, with the ability to manage complex initiatives while supporting a high-performing team.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee application services, ensuring efficient planning, prioritization, and resource utilization
- Analyze and evaluate current systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while guiding cross-functional teams
- Partner with business units and senior leadership to align IT initiatives with organizational strategies
- Establish and monitor end-user support service levels and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement in technology delivery and user experience
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop high-performing team members
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and procedures
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
- Stay current with healthcare technology trends and recommend innovative, cost-effective solutions
- Support critical implementations, including occasional extended hours or travel as needed

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- ITIL knowledge or certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in an IT leadership role
- 3+ years of experience managing implementations in complex, multi-site environments
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting for large departments
- Deep understanding of healthcare information systems
- Experience with Epic and related systems strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage customer support in a matrixed organization
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
