Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay is currently seeking applicants for a Director of International Tax.
The Director of International Tax is responsible for managing the Company’s global tax strategy, compliance, and provision processes related to international operations. This role partners closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and regional business teams to ensure technical accuracy, audit readiness, and alignment with evolving global tax regulations. The Director will provide leadership across transfer pricing, GILTI, FDII, Pillar Two (GloBE), withholding taxes, and foreign tax credit planning, while supporting M&A activity and global business initiatives.

What you will be doing:
Global Tax Strategy & Planning
- Lead international tax planning initiatives to optimize the Company’s effective tax rate while ensuring compliance with U.S. and foreign tax laws.
- Advise on cross‑border transactions, supply chain structuring, repatriation strategies, and legal entity alignment.
- Evaluate tax implications of business initiatives including acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and market expansions.
- Monitor legislative developments (e.g., OECD Pillar Two, QDMTT, U.S. international tax changes) and assess impact on the Company.
Tax Provision & Reporting
- Oversee international components of the quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including:
- GILTI, FDII/FDDEI, FTCs, BEAT (if applicable)
- ETR forecasting and discrete item analysis
- FIN 48 / uncertain tax positions related to foreign jurisdictions
- Prepare and review technical memoranda and provision support schedules for internal management and external auditors.
- Serve as primary international tax contact for external auditors.
Compliance & Operational Oversight
- Provide relevant data for preparation by compliance team of U.S. international filings (e.g., Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8992, 8993).
- Coordinate foreign statutory tax filings with local advisors and shared service teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate withholding tax analysis and filings.
- Support IRS and foreign tax authority audits, inquiries, and information requests.
Transfer Pricing
- Oversee global transfer pricing framework in alignment with OECD guidelines.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors on:
- Transfer pricing documentation
- Intercompany agreements
- Policy maintenance and audit defense
- Review year‑end true‑ups and support operational implementation.
What you will bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, JD, or MST strongly preferred.
- 7–12 years of progressive international tax experience in public accounting and/or large multinational corporate environment.
- Deep technical knowledge of:
- U.S. international tax (Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, FTCs)
- Transfer pricing and OECD principles
