Director, Market RiskLocation: Southeast United StatesRelocation: Full relocation available; nationwide search The OpportunityA newly created Director-level opportunity with one of North Americas largest and most sophisticated energy platforms. With significant investment underway across power generation, renewables, storage and energy infrastructure, this is an opportunity to help shape market risk capabilities within a complex, fast-moving trading environment.This role leads an integrated function spanning market and commodity risk, valuation controls, independent price verification (IPV), P&L oversight and portfolio analytics. It is ideal for a hands-on leader who wants to remain close to the markets while influencing senior-level risk and commercial decisions. Key Responsibilities

Lead market and commodity risk oversight across energy trading activities.*
Partner with traders and originators to understand strategies, positions and portfolio exposures.*
Enhance VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis and other risk methodologies.*
Oversee P&L attribution, exposure, valuation and risk reporting.*
Provide independent challenge around trading results, valuations and material portfolio risks.*
Strengthen valuation controls and IPV for complex and less-liquid products.*
Drive technology, automation, data quality and risk-system improvements.*
Develop and mentor a high-performing market risk team.*
Communicate complex risk matters clearly to commercial and senior leadership.
