Firefly Children & Family Alliance is currently seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications. In this position, you are responsible for developing and executing strategies that advanceFirefly’smission,strengthenbrandvisibility,andengagekeystakeholders. You will oversee all marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and a powerful organizational presence across all channels.

Youwillworkcloselywiththeexecutiveteam,staff,andexternalpartnerstosupport fundraising, advocacy, and program initiatives.

You Will:

Strategic Leadership

  • Developandimplementacomprehensivemarketingandcommunications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • ProvidestrategiccounseltotheCEOandseniorleadershipteamonbranding, messaging, and communications opportunities.
  • Participateinmonthlyoperationsmeetingstoensurecohesivecommunication strategies across programs and departments.

BrandManagement

  • Strengthenandprotecttheorganization’sbrandidentity,ensuringconsistency across print, digital, and verbal communications
  • LeadeffortstoenhanceFirefly’svisibilitywithdonors,partners,media,andthe broader community.
  • Overseebrandstandardsandguidestaffandvendorstomaintainaunified brand voice and image.

Marketing& Communications

  • Overseecreationandimplementationofmarketingcampaignsthatsupport fundraising, events, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Utilize technology to increase communications capacity and fine tune messages to diverse audiences
  • Managemediarelations,includingpressreleases,crisiscommunications,and cultivating relationships with local and state media
  • Ensureallpublications,reports,andpromotionalmaterialsreflectFirefly’svoice, values, and mission.

Team Leadership&Management

  • Leadandmentorateamofmarketingandcommunicationsprofessionals, contractors, and vendors
  • Establishcleargoals,performancemetrics,andprofessionaldevelopment opportunities for team members.
  • Managedepartmentalbudget,ensuringeffectiveuseofresources. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop, update, and implement a communication plan to provide information to others in the field, clients, and stakeholders about how to best support families and communities.
  • Collaboratewiththedevelopmentteamtocraftcompellingdonor communications and fundraising materials.
  • Supportprogramstaffincommunicatingprogramoutcomesandimpact stories
  • Buildandmaintainrelationshipswithexternalagencies,vendors,and community partners.
  • PartnerwiththeCEOtodevelopadvocacymaterialsandstrategiesthat advance Firefly’s policy and community impact goals.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’sdegreeinmarketing,communications,publicrelations,orarelated field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimumof5yearsofprogressiveleadershipexperienceinmarketing, communications, or related nonprofit roles.
  • Demonstratedsuccessindevelopingandimplementingstrategicmarketing and communications plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Exceptionalwrittenandverbalcommunication skills
  • Strongleadershipandteammanagement abilities.
  • Excellentorganizationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesand meet deadlines.
  • Flexible,adaptable,andcapableofbalancingbothstrategicandtactical responsibilities.
  • Abilitytoreprioritizetasksquicklytoaddressemergentsituations.
