Job Title: Director of Medical Library
Department: Shared Services- Education
Location: Rochester Regional Hospital (RGH)

Hours Per Week: Full-Time 40 hours/week
Schedule: M-F 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
SUMMARY:
- Provide leadership, vision, planning and advocacy for library resources and services for Rochester Regional Health and the College of Health Careers.
- Align library services with strategic direction of Rochester Regional Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement library services including reference, interlibrary loan, document provision and support for Graduate Medical Education and the College of Health Careers.
- Direct library operations: manage online collections and library tools Lead the library's financial planning processes: prepare annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and negotiate e-resource pricing.
- Identify, pursue and manage funding opportunities and consortia pricing.
- Manage the library’s gift funds and recommend expenditures within fund guidelines
- Recruit, train and manage Librarians Manage all aspects of knowledge-based information resources: selection, testing, negotiation, licensing, access, promotion, instruction, and monitor usage
- Facilitate services to rural hospitals through the NYS Department of Education funded Hospital Library Services Program.
- Manage the library’s website, proxy server and discovery tools.
- Oversee collection development and facilitate access to electronic resources.
- Write and implement policies and procedures Collect, store and utilize data to demonstrate use of library services and resources and plan for future services and resource needs
- Participate in Rochester Regional Health leadership programs and initiatives
- Represent the library to key stakeholders
- Maintain cutting edge services through professional development and involvement in local and national library organizations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Science in Library Science (MLS, MSLS) or equivalent degree in Library Science or Information Science from an accredited program required.
- 5+ years of previous Library work experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- AHIP credentialing preferred.
- Experience with computer networking, database searching, and budgeting.
- Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills

PAY RANGE:
$80,000.00 - $115,000.00CITY:

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
