Director of Nursing (DON) – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)Greater Chicago area

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a 200+ bed skilled nursing facility in the greater Chicago area. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-supported organization with strong leadership and a collaborative team environment.

Position Overview:The Director of Nursing will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff development across both long-term care (LTC) and short-term rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Drive quality outcomes and performance improvement initiatives
Support staff development, retention, and engagement
Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team

Qualifications:

Active RN license (Illinois)
Proven experience as a DON or Assistant DON in a SNF/ LTC setting
Strong knowledge of LTC and post-acute care operations
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
Track record of survey success and quality outcomes

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $125,000 – $130,000
