This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created leadership role at the ground level of a state-of-the-art ASC facility. Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations at our newly acquired Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This is an exciting opportunity to build and lead a high-performing team in a hospital-level outpatient surgical setting. As the first nursing leader in this facility, you will have the opportunity to shape clinical standards, workflows, and culture from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all nursing operations and patient care services in the ASC.
- Ensure services are aligned with nursing standards of practice, patient safety goals, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency and care quality.
- Implement performance improvement initiatives, monitor outcome measures, and lead efforts to exceed benchmarks in patient care and satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and development to nursing and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Ensure readiness for accreditation and regulatory surveys.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or related field.
- Academic degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's or Master's).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive management and supervisory experience.
- At least 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build high-performing teams and drive quality outcomes in a surgical environment.
- Experience leading new facility transitions or startup clinical operations is a plus.
