As a premier Life Plan Community and proud provider of Five-Star quality care, we are seeking an experienced and inspiring Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical services across our 152 healthcare beds , including a 64-bed Skilled Nursing Facility, 44-bed Assisted Living Facility, and 44-bed Memory Care Facility.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will partner closely with the Healthcare Administrator, Vice President of Clinical Services, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary leaders to ensure outstanding outcomes for the residents and families we serve.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for clinical services across Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.
  • Champion a culture of excellence that reflects our commitment to Five-Star quality care, resident dignity, and exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Administrator(s), Vice President of Clinical Services, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and quality metrics, utilizing data to drive continuous improvement and resident satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and team members through coaching, education, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote team member engagement, retention, recruitment, and workforce development initiatives that build a strong and stable nursing team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining survey readiness and operational excellence.
  • Manage staffing resources, departmental budgets, and operational processes to support quality care and fiscal responsibility.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the Healthcare Center by conducting regular rounds, supporting team members, and building relationships with residents and families.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, hospitals, educational institutions, and community partners.
  • Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives that support resident outcomes and organizational excellence.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Cypress Cove, upholding our mission, values, and reputation as one of Southwest Florida's premier senior living communities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to creating positive outcomes for residents, families, and staff.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and nursing leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire teams, manage change, and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
