Job Description
Director of Nursing (DON)
We have recently partnered with a very progressive, well-run, and financially stable hospice organization. This organization is committed to patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families.

Schedule:
- Full-Time, Salaried Position
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Flexible availability required for operational needs
- Occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed
- On-call rotation required for clinical and administrative matters
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership for all hospice operations, ensuring high-quality, safe, and consistent patient care
- Oversee clinical departments including home care, admissions, education, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, certification, licensing, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor, and supervise clinical managers and directors across the organization
- Collaborate with leadership on staffing, scheduling, and operational planning
- Participate in budgeting, financial oversight, and resource allocation for clinical services
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and professional development programs
- Serve as a clinical expert, role model, and advocate for patient-centered care
- Support staff retention, engagement, and performance management strategies
- Step in for senior clinical leadership responsibilities when needed
Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of senior-level management experience required
- At least 3 years of hospice experience required
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and compliance standards
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with budgeting, operations, and performance management preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
