We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations at our facility in the Queens, NY area.

Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of nursing services within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional resident care, maintain regulatory compliance, support staff development, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight of all nursing operations and clinical servicesEnsure compliance with CMS, NYSDOH, and all applicable regulatory requirementsMaintain continuous survey readiness and support successful survey outcomesRecruit, mentor, develop, and retain nursing staffEstablish clinical standards, education programs, and competency initiativesLead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) effortsOversee infection prevention and control programsMonitor staffing effectiveness, scheduling practices, and labor managementCollaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to improve resident outcomes and satisfactionPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered careServe as a visible and supportive clinical leader throughout the organizationQualificationsActive New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standingBSN preferred; ADN considered with relevant leadership experienceMinimum of 2+ years of nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term carePrevious experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or equivalent leadership roleStrong knowledge of CMS regulations, NYSDOH requirements, and long-term care operationsProven success with regulatory compliance and survey managementExcellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to build, motivate, and develop high-performing clinical teamsIdeal Candidate
