Role: Director of Nursing – Emergency Room Location: West Palm Beach, Florida (Onsite)Full Time

Onsite leadership role within Emergency Department (ER) Fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment Direct collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital leadership Oversight of emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance

A strong ER nursing leader with proven management experience, capable of overseeing clinical and administrative operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate brings hands-on emergency room leadership, strong operational skills, and the ability to manage both patient care delivery and emergency preparedness programs.The Director of Nursing – Emergency Room is responsible for the overall clinical and administrative leadership of Patient Care Services within the ER. This includes ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and oversight of emergency management programs to maintain disaster readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Operational Leadership

Oversee daily operations of Emergency Room patient care services Ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care Develop and implement unit-specific care plans and service line programs

Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation bodies (e.g., Joint Commission) Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and emergency preparedness standards

Emergency Management

Lead emergency management program and disaster preparedness initiatives Ensure ongoing compliance with emergency response standards Coordinate training and readiness activities

Program Development & Growth

Develop policies and procedures for patient care delivery Drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction Support strategies to increase patient volume and service line growth

Leadership & Culture

Foster a professional, collaborative work environment Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff and leadership teams Promote continuous improvement and clinical excellence

Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN required) Minimum 2 years of healthcare management experience Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience Strong leadership and team management experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – State of Florida Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient care standards, and compliance

Required Certifications

BLS/CPR (American Heart Association) ACLS (American Heart Association) PALS (American Heart Association) CPI (within 30 days of hire) TNCC (within 180 days of hire) NIH Stroke Certification (within 60 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in healthcare or related field Experience leading ER service lines or departments Strong background in emergency preparedness and compliance
