Director Of Nursing/Or Nurse – Ambulatory Surgery Center

WSi Healthcare Personnel is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse leader for a direct-hire Director of Nursing position at a Colorado Springs surgery center. This position is perfect for a leader who enjoys building strong teams, supporting efficient clinical operations, and maintaining high standards of patient care

Position Overview

The Director of Nursing will oversee the surgery center’s clinical operations, nursing employees, and staff scheduling. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable, hands-on leader with operating room experience and prior nursing management or director-level experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the center’s clinical operations
• Supervise, support, and develop clinical employees
• Coordinate staff scheduling based on patient volume and procedural needs
• Promote safe, efficient, and patient-focused care
• Maintain clinical policies, procedures, and staff competencies
• Collaborate with administration, physicians, and clinical team members
• Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and survey readiness
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining clinical employees

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• Previous operating-room nursing experience required
• Previous experience as a nursing director, clinical manager, OR manager, or similar healthcare leader
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead employees while remaining engaged in day-to-day clinical operations
