Director of Nursing Services (RN)
Full-Time | OnsiteSteelville Senior Living – Steelville, MO
Steelville Senior Living is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing Services (DNS) to complete our nursing leadership team in our skilled nursing facility. This role represents the final and essential leadership position within our nursing department, providing oversight, direction, and support to our Senior Nursing Managers and clinical staff while ensuring exceptional resident care.
About the Role
As the Director of Nursing Services, you will lead and oversee all nursing services and clinical operations. You will partner closely with our Senior Nursing Managers, serving as the senior clinical leader responsible for guiding nursing strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of care.
This is a hands-on, onsite leadership position, offering direct engagement with residents, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for nursing services and clinical outcomes
- Serve as the senior nursing leader, supporting and directing Senior Nursing Managers
- Supervise and guide RNs, LPNs, CNAs, CMTs and L1ma's
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Foster collaboration among physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Identify and resolve clinical and operational challenges
- Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and resident-centered care
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Previous nursing leadership experience (skilled nursing or long-term care preferred)
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary up to $90,000, based on experience
- Up to $22,000 annually in performance-based bonuses
