Director of Operations | Wealth Management PracticeGreater Fenton AreaOnsiteCompensation: $150K+ | Based on ExperienceOur client, a well established and growing Wealth Management practice in the Greater Fenton area, has partnered with us to identify an experienced Director of Operations to lead the day to day operations of their practice. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a strategic, hands on professional who thrives on improving processes, developing teams, and delivering an exceptional client experience.The Director of Operations will oversee practice operations, lead the Client Service Associate team, drive operational efficiencies, and partner closely with Financial Advisors to support the continued growth and success of the firm.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Client Service Associate team to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Drive operational improvements, workflow optimization, and process efficiencies throughout the practice.
  • Lead change management initiatives focused on maximizing productivity, performance, and revenue growth.
  • Train and mentor Client Service Associates while ensuring appropriate cross training and team coverage.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations regarding compensation and promotions.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions, policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and training materials.
  • Establish and manage workflows that create a consistent, high quality client experience.
  • Coordinate workflow and communication between the practice and the home office.
  • Research and resolve complex client account questions and operational issues.
  • Review team workloads and make adjustments to improve efficiency and balance responsibilities.
  • Monitor team productivity and establish accountability measures.
  • Plan and coordinate client appreciation events, marketing campaigns, and prospect communications.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate ongoing professional development for team members.
  • Support Financial Advisors by providing training on new products, software, technology, and firm resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee transitions.
  • Review communications from the home office and ensure timely implementation of operational changes.
  • Regularly evaluate administrative procedures and recommend operational improvements.
  • Partner with Financial Advisors to support strategic planning initiatives and practice goals.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proven success leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong customer service mindset with exceptional professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with process mapping, workflow improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
  • Understanding of financial markets and investment products is preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Securities licenses preferred, including Series 7, Series 63, Series 66, Series 24, and Life and Health Insurance.
