Job Description

Trustbridge Foundation, an affiliate of Empath Health, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Philanthropy Director to join our team. He/She will work closely with the President of Philanthropy and division leadership to develop, implement, and lead fundraising strategies that advance philanthropic support for the Foundation and its affiliates. This role is responsible for achieving fundraising goals, cultivating donor relationships, managing a personal portfolio of major donors and prospects, and supervising philanthropy team members. The Director acts as an ambassador for the organization, representing its mission and values across the community.

Location: Broward County (Florida)

Schedule: M-F, occasional weekends for fundraising

What you'll Do

  • The Director of Philanthropy works closely with the President of the Trustbridge Foundation and division leadership management to plan and implement strategy for annual, major, planned gifts through strategic donor relationship management (identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, upgrade) to meet short- and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Working with donors, volunteers and staff, the Director of Philanthropy plays a critical role in increasing individual donor and foundation support and acts as an ambassador for Empath Health across the community.
  • This position will require travel throughout Broward County.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; master's degree and/or CFRE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in philanthropy, with at least five years in major gift cultivation and closure.
  • Manage a personal portfolio of 75-100 donors and prospects, with annual fundraising goals of $500K-$1M+, utilizing moves management.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience with paid staff and volunteers preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising CRM.
