Job Summary:

The Process Engineering Director will direct all plant functions of Process Engineering- to produce high quality products through equipment, process controls and new product implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages plant engineers through effective selection, training, and evaluation of members and through effective delegation and follow-up of tasks.
  • Responsible to mentor engineers, co-ops, and interns, and for explaining company guidelines, policies, safety rules and regulations to subordinates as well as counsel employees with work-related problems/issues.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates resolution of problems related to equipment, safety, product, quality or process issues.
  • Ensures adequate equipment capacity and process capability.
  • Responsible to for Capital Expenditure tracking and qualification of new equipment.
  • Implements plans to improve process capability using statistical analysis.
  • Interfaces with customers on product design, product needs and product issues.
  • Provides technical direction and supervision throughout the plant.
  • Performs and/or assists in special projects as assigned.
  • Provides technical and analytical support for all product and processes, respectively.
  • Root cause analysis of issues associated with the plant.
  • Evaluation of equipment through DOE and capability testing.
  • Communicates regularly to Managers, suggests and composes procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment, and communicates to Supervisors' safety hazards and issues.
  • Responsibilities include the reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns. Perform their job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts.

Job Qualifications and Prerequisites:

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 years experience within a technical and/or production environment.
  • Masters Degree and printed circuit board manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and time management skills; ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and process control, skilled at Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Process analysis
  • Implement own recommendations and see projects through to completion.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes increasing efficiency.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; good mathematical skills
  • Conduct meetings to negotiate, explain, persuade, or present information.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting information to Sr. Leadership teams.
  • React quickly to day-to-day problems with timely solutions.
  • Ability to make decisions fast and under pressure.
  • Hands on with analytical approach to process and mechanical problems.
  • Have good reading vision, hearing perception, able to speak clearly, fine motor skills.
  • Works up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, and is flexible to work on weekends.
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day, ability to lift 45 lbs., ability to walk, no respiratory issues

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
