Join a stable, growing consumer products company as a Director of Product Design in Sheffield Village, Ohio, where you will work directly with ownership to shape the future of innovative outdoor and DIY products. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary industrial design leader who thrives on turning bold ideas into real products, influencing long-term strategy, and creating items that reach major retail channels serving outdoor enthusiasts.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Product Design position include:

10+ years of industrial design experience in consumer products, with outdoor, hunting, or fishing industry experience required
Lead industrial design for new product development from concept ideation through production launch
Translate consumer insights, market trends, and outdoor lifestyle knowledge into winning product concepts
Sketch, model, prototype, and refine ideas from early concept through functional sample
Collaborate closely with engineering teams and overseas factories to maintain design intent and production feasibility
Establish cohesive design language, packaging aesthetics, and brand-consistent product appearance across the portfolio
Conduct consumer research and competitive analysis to identify unmet needs and market opportunities
Serve as a player-coach by leading hands-on design work while managing a small team and partnering with ownership on product strategy

Salary: $150,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
