Job Description

Director of Social Media

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid. In office Monday, Wednesday, Friday)Reports To: Chief Digital OfficerTeam: Social Media

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to build, lead, and scale the Social Media function at Intellibright.

We're looking for a strategic leader who can elevate our social media practice, drive innovation, develop team members, and serve as the agency's authority on all things social. This role will own the vision, strategy, performance, and operational excellence of the department while helping clients navigate an increasingly complex social landscape.

You'll work directly with clients, lead social media strategy across platforms, guide campaign development, mentor the team, and build the systems and processes necessary to scale a high-performing department.

This is not a role for someone who needs daily direction. We're looking for a builder, operator, and leader who takes ownership, drives change, and consistently brings new ideas to the organization.

About Intellibright

Intellibright is an award-winning digital marketing agency helping mid-market and enterprise organizations accelerate growth through Paid Media, SEO, Analytics, Website Development, Content, Social Media, and AI Visibility.

We believe marketing should be accountable to business outcomes. Our clients rely on us for strategic thinking, measurable performance, operational excellence, and innovative solutions that help them outperform competitors and achieve meaningful growth.

Areas of Ownership

Social Strategy & Client Leadership

  • Develop and lead social media strategies that align with client business goals
  • Present recommendations, campaigns, and performance insights with confidence and authority
  • Serve as the primary social media strategist on client relationships
  • Create compelling campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Help clients understand where social media can drive meaningful business impact

Department Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Social Media team
  • Establish quality standards and accountability across all client deliverables
  • Serve as Intellibright's internal subject matter expert for social media
  • Represent the Social Media department at the Service Leadership table
  • Help shape the future direction of the department and agency

Innovation, AI & Scalability

  • Drive adoption of AI-powered workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and strategic output
  • Identify emerging trends, platforms, technologies, and opportunities before competitors
  • Build repeatable systems and processes that allow the department to scale effectively
  • Increase operational efficiency while maintaining a high standard of client service
  • Bring new ideas, tools, and approaches to both clients and internal teams

Performance & Accountability

  • Own the success of the department's client portfolio
  • Ensure strategies translate into measurable business outcomes
  • Deliver clear, actionable performance analysis and recommendations
  • Take responsibility for execution quality, client satisfaction, and team performance

When something goes well, you'll help the team celebrate it. When something goes wrong, the buck stops with you.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

  • Establish credibility with clients and internal teams
  • Take ownership of social strategy across assigned accounts
  • Take accountability of on-time delivery
  • Identify immediate opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability

  • Increase client confidence in Intellibright's social media capabilities
  • Establish AI-enabled workflows that improve quality and efficiency
  • Strengthen team performance and accountability
  • Position Intellibright as a leader in modern social media strategy and execution

Why This Role Matters

Social media continues to evolve faster than almost any marketing discipline. We believe clients need strategic partners who can help them navigate change, identify opportunities, and create meaningful business impact.

This role will play a critical role in shaping how Intellibright delivers social media services, develops talent, adopts AI, and scales for future growth.

If you're excited by ownership, leadership, innovation, and the opportunity to build something meaningful, we'd love to meet you.
