They provides legal advocacy and rights protection while fostering a collaborative, supportive, and mission-focused workplace. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to lead a team, drive impactful advocacy, and help advance civil rights across the state.
Job Title: Disability Rights Attorney (Education-focused)Location: Mostly remote / Ohio – Hybrid work environment

The Ideal Candidate:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the Ohio Bar (or ability to obtain)
- Admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of and experience pursuing rights and remedies available under federal and state laws on vocational rehabilitation and protecting employees with disabilities
- Experience with review and comment on federal and state laws, regulations, and rules in special education and vocational rehabilitation
- Systemic advocacy on behalf of students or employees with disabilities
- Experience collaborating with organizations and stakeholders in special education and vocational rehabilitation
- Participation on or with state-wide committees or groups focused on special education or vocational rehabilitation
