POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dishwasher is responsible formaintaining a clean and organized kitchen by ensuring that all kitchenware, tableware, and equipment are clean, sanitized, and ready for use, helping the food & beverage staff maintain a smooth and efficient operation. This role is vital in maintaining hygiene and food safety standards and supporting the food & beverage staff in a high volume environment while also assisting with basic food prep when applicable.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, returning them to their proper location, and resetting dining areas.
- Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations
- Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
- Unloading and storing deliveries
- Sweeping and mopping floors, especially if items are broken or spilled
- Regularly monitoring and taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans when needed to ensure proper food safety
- Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed
- Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
- Wash hands regularly after performing any task that deals with waste disposal, chemicals, dirty dishes, or similar. If assisting in kitchen prep, hands must be washed prior to doing so
- All other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimal work experience
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
- Must be available on weekends, nights, and weekdays
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in food industry preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
