NEXGEN IS HIRING A DISPATCHER!
Location: La Habra, CA
Schedule: Full time (including weekends)
Pay Rate: $23-$25 (depending on skill set)
About the Role
At NexGen HVAC & Plumbing, our Dispatchers are the heartbeat of our daily operations. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our customers and our field technicians. You are not just scheduling appointments; you are strategically managing our team’s day, matching the right technician's skill set to the right home, and ensuring our customers receive fast, reliable service when they need it most.

What Success Looks Like
Your main goal is to maximize our technicians' efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Here is what you will focus on:
Daily Responsibilities
- Monitor our dispatch board to assign, dispatch, and track service calls for HVAC technicians and plumbers.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with technicians regarding their schedules, job details, and parts availability.
- Keep customers updated on technician arrival times, proactively reaching out if schedules shift.
- Collaborate closely with the customer service team to transition booked calls into optimized dispatches.
- Follow up on open jobs, delays, or reschedules
- Document notes accurately and quickly
- Handle evening and weekend call flow with confidence
- Support the team with problem-solving when schedules get tight or emergencies pop up
Long-Term Success
- Develop a strong understanding of our individual technicians' strengths and geographic territories to make smarter routing decisions.
- Help reduce overall drive times and fuel costs through strategic daily planning.
- Build trusted relationships with the field team, acting as their primary support system throughout the day.
Requirements
What You Bring to the Team
We are looking for an organized, clear communicator who can keep a cool head when the day gets busy.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of dispatching experience, preferably in the home services industry (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or dispatch logistics).
- Strong geographic knowledge of La Habra and the surrounding Southern California areas to plan efficient routes.
- Comfort using computers and scheduling software, with the ability to learn new digital platforms quickly.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional phone presence.
- The ability to multitask, prioritize urgent requests, and adapt to changing schedules on the fly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using ServiceTitan software.
- Prior knowledge of residential HVAC or plumbing systems and basic terminology.
