Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Divestiture Payroll Product Manager located in New Brunswick, NJ. This will be a 18 month duration role.

Position Overview
Johnson & Johnson is undertaking a strategic divestiture of its Orthopedic business and is seeking an experienced Divestiture Payroll Product Manager to lead the separation and transition of payroll capabilities.
This role requires a hands-on leader with deep payroll technology expertise, strong delivery discipline, and experience managing complex, multi-country payroll transformations in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
Payroll Product Ownership
Define and execute the payroll product strategy for divested entities across the Americas.
Lead the separation of payroll systems and processes, including Clone and Build-Back-New market models.
Act as Product Owner across solution design, build, testing, and deployment
Develop testing scenarios and scripts aligned to desired product outcomes
Transformation Delivery
Drive end-to-end execution of payroll separation initiatives while maintaining business continuity.
Develop and execute transition plans including parallel processing, data validation, go-live, and hypercare.
Technology, Data & Integration
Partner with data teams to define migration strategies, mappings, cleansing rules, reconciliation, and archival.
Define and manage payroll integrations, controls, and error-handling mechanisms.
Design payroll-to-GL posting strategies aligned with ERP ecosystems.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure statutory compliance, audit readiness, and role-based access controls across countries.
Proactively identify and mitigate payroll risks and dependencies.
Process Improvement:
- Find opportunities for process and system enhancements and implement procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Implement strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new tools or policies.
System Management:
Support business requirements and testing strategy for system enhancements, upgrades/ system changes across the payroll organization for Payroll
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, HR, or a related field.
5+ years of experience leading or supporting global payroll implementations.
Direct experience with divestitures, acquisitions, or carve-outs (required).
Hands-on experience with enterprise payroll platforms:
SAP ECC/SuccessFactors
ADP GlobalView
Workday
Kronos / Workforce Manager
Key Skills
Deep understanding of global payroll operations, controls, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proven ability to lead complex initiatives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000 - $177,100
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
