Job Summary

KBR is seeking an Army Field Artillery (FA) Divisional Field Artillery (DIVARTY) Senior Analyst with FA and Fire Support experience to support Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) on Joint, HQDA, and Division level and below fires issues advising DAMO-Fires leadership, the G-3/5/7 DAMO-Fires 2-Star Director, and Army leadership on Joint/Army Field Artillery and Program activities. This position will work within a larger more senior team of analysts. DAMO-FIRES mission is to synchronize the HQDA staff, and other key stakeholders in aligning the Army Fires community's Program Budget Review (PBR) and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) efforts across the Army's requirements, acquisition, and programming processes. The BCT Fire Analyst position will work internally on-site with the HQDA Staff and it's key stakeholders and externally with Joint Staff, Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), Portfolio acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires, Army Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), Transformation and Training Command (T2COM) Fires FCD, Combatant Commands, and the Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead integration of Fires issues for Headquarters, Department of the Army Staff and Army Senior Leadership with primary focus on DIVARTY fires.
  • Coordinates Artillery modernization, procurement, and sustainment strategy in support of the Army's Director for Fires.
  • Coordinates strategic input to the Army POM via the Continuous Capability Analysis and Assessment process.
  • Provides Army leadership with current artillery employment and system assessments.
  • Synchronize Fires policy, requirements, fiscal priorities, resource implementation strategies and program execution.
  • Represent and support Division, Directorate, and Army Staff leadership in multiple programs, budget, and strategic forums.
  • Assists the Chief, Offensive Fires in the conduct of his duties including developing briefings, papers, and executive summaries that inform the Army G3 leadership.
  • Coordinates within the Army Staff, Commands, Service Component Commands and Direct Reporting Units on all artillery matters of strategy, resourcing, funding, and support.
  • Supports the Army G3 and G8 staff in their funding, fielding, and support missions to the Army's artillery force.
  • Analyze and recommend artillery support to Presidential Drawdown activities.
  • Acts as subject matter expert in all matters in U.S. and foreign cannon and rocket artillery systems, munitions, and employment. Develops, analyzes, and prioritizes Field Artillery programs, systems, and munitions for the Army G3.
  • Prepare written products (reports, briefings, info papers, executive summaries) to shape, develop, and defend Army staff positions including Army Program Budget Review
  • Prepare and present briefings to leadership and stakeholders
  • Prepare answers questions or requests from legislators (i.e. Congress) or stakeholders
  • Support and lead forums to support, advocate or defend Army Fires Community equities
  • Integrate and synchronize Army Fires equities across Army, Joint Staff, and Department of War staffing processes

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Education: Master's Degree required
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience; 10 years of Pentagon or equivalent Combatant Command, Service, or Agency staff
  • Clearance: Must be able to attain a TOP SECRET (TS/SCI) clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to define, explain and coordinate Army requirements, acquisition, and programming processes in support of the Army's development of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM)
  • Ability to write for strategic-level leaders in the Army, Joint Staff, and the Department of War (DoW)
  • Ability to develop quality written products and presentations for senior leader decision-making
  • Familiarity of DoW/Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Joint Staff, Army Staff, and/or Army Secretariat equivalent processes, planning, resourcing, and operations
  • Familiarity with Army and Joint Fire Support/Fires systems and capabilities
