This position is assigned to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security (DS). You will report to the Chief of Staff (CoS) and serves as a Management Analyst within the DS Front Office (DS/FO). You will be responsible for managing a wide range of complex issues, which includes controlling the Department's paper review/clearance process for the Bureau.

Major Duties: Who May Apply: Job Status: Duration Appointment:This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSCs do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years. Conditions of Employment: Education:

Requirements: Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience managing and developing strategies for consistent communication and controlling information flow with internal and external stakeholders;
Experience serving as a liaison and point of contact for senior officials, building and maintaining effective working relationships across organizational levels;
Experience conducting confidential assignments requiring tact and diplomacy.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
