Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Doors & Hardware Foreman to supervise 2-6 field installers, as well as install commercial doors & hardware.Compensation: $30/h- $35/h depending on experience, plus 10 hours weekly overtime!Location: Gordonville, PABenefits: 120 hours PTO after 30 days, Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, 401K match and more!Schedule: M-F (6 am to 4:30 pm)Employment type: Direct Hire, Full-TimeOverview:Supervise team of field installers, as well as install doors & hardware using impact & cordless drills, skill saws, grinders, belt sanders, routers, jig saws, but not limited to other power tools. Supervise approximately 2-6 Installers.Responsibilities for Foreman:
- Attends job site weekly meetings as needed
- Supervise installers each day on the job site
- Daily reports on job sites
- Use tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware
- Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders to complete task at hand
- Prep doors to receive hardware
- Install frames, doors, hardware & accessories per manufacturer requirements
- Operate equipment safely and use safe work habits
- Examine finished product for defects to ensure conformance with quality
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
- Experience using power tools, saws, drills etc.
- Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Drivers license preferred but not required
- Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
- Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job
- Spends majority of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching.
- Frequent lifting required 25-50 pounds for items.
- May be exposed to variable weather conditions.
- Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
