Now Hiring: Part-Time DOT Driver (Local)

Location: Houston, TX (East Downtown Houston Area)Company: Continental Silverline Products, LLCPosition Type: Part-TimeCompensation: $30.00 per hourHours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week

Position Overview:

Continental Silverline is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Part-Time DOT Driver to support local yard operations and transportation needs. This role is ideal for an experienced CDL driver looking for consistent part-time hours with no long-haul requirements and will typically return home daily.

This position primarily supports dock setup, yard movements, equipment transport for maintenance/fuel/wash, and occasional local deliveries within the Houston metro area.

Tentative Schedule

Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Schedule may adjust based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and position trailers at the dock to support shipping operations
Perform yard moves and equipment staging
Transport trucks and trailers for maintenance, inspections, fueling, and washing
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Complete local deliveries within approximately a 200-mile radius when assigned
Maintain DOT compliance and accurate driving logs
Communicate effectively with shipping and operations teams
Follow all safety procedures and Company policies
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Minimum five (5) years of U.S. driving experience
Minimum two (2) years operating comparable commercial vehicles
Current DOT medical card
Clean and verifiable Motor Vehicle Record
Must meet all DOT and insurance eligibility standards
Minimum age 25 (subject to applicable state law)
