Job Description

Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a prime contractor providing manpower and support to multiple Program Offices within a Federal Agency.  Our team provides a wide range of skills to support various functions including administrative, computer, data analysis, program analysis, construction services, and senior level advisory services.  We are currently interviewing for a Program Lead to assist managing customer interactions and contract staff on a program and provide hands-on supervision on a small- to mid-sized contract.

The Program Lead is responsible for overall management of personnel and performance/compliance for contracts and task orders as assigned. The position will provide proactive management of assigned programs, contract financials, and deliverables as well as interface with contracting officer representatives (CORs), Government program managers, DNI personnel and DNI functional departments (HR, Contracts, Recruiting).  Maintaining an excellent reputation with both employees and government customers alike is an integral function of this role along with ensuring compliance with DNI corporate vision and mission. 

This is an unpaid internship through DNI, conducted in partnership with the DoW Skillbridge Program. You will continue to receive compensation and benefits through your military service branch during this period. As such, you are not eligible for DNI employee benefits during the Skillbridge period. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the Portfolio Director to make decisions for operational activities and set program performance goals based on customer requirements.
  • Responsible for program compliance and personnel performance and ensure program requirements are met in the most efficient manner. 
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of all program activities to ensure smooth progress.
  • Manage employee performance and merit increases.
  • Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
  • Manage teams of contract support personnel, as needed for specified programs.
  • Maintain and manage the client interface at the Program Office Management levels of the client organization.
  • Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. 
  • Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.  Regularly briefs senior leadership on program status and milestones. 
  • Collaborate with corporate functional departments to ensure overall success of assigned program (HR, Contracts, Finance, recruiting, purchasing).
  • Develop comprehensive customer reports and manage all contract deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or an additional 2 years of experience of acquisition and contractor management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired.
  • Five years of professional experience supporting government programs with a minimum of three years in Program/Project management and/or supervision of employees.
  • Experience with managing dispersed teams, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
  • Basic understanding of FAR, contract processes, acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
  • Requires eligibility to obtain security clearance depending on requirements for any assigned programs.
