Drafter (Water & Wastewater Treatment)

Kingwood (Hybrid)

$55,000 - $75,000

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drafter to join our engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of innovative Water and Wastewater Treatment projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with extensive drafting experience, excellent 3D modelling capabilities, and a solid understanding of process equipment, piping systems, skids, valves, and tank design.

The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D, possess strong mathematical and problem-solving skills, and be capable of delivering high-quality work to project deadlines while collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants using AutoCAD, under the guidance of Design Engineers.
  • Produce detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Develop 3D models, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
  • Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Support BIM Asset Management, including the completion of Asset Registers and Asset Information Models.
  • Coordinate and compile comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manuals, including as-built models and drawings, equipment datasheets, operating and maintenance procedures, maintenance schedules, and spare parts schedules.
  • Apply sound engineering principles and problem-solving techniques to design challenges.

  • Degree in Applied Science (Drafting) or a related discipline with a strong technical background.
  • Experienced in a similar drafting or design role.
  • Extensive technical drafting experience within an engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of process equipment, piping systems, valves, skid-mounted systems, and tank design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D.
