Job Description
- Salary: $60,000-$75,000 Annually (Based on Experience).
- Job Type: Full Time, 40+ hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Work Location: Primarily in-office, with some travel.
- Holidays Off & Vacation/PTO.

- Design/drafting education or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of residential construction methods and materials.
- Working knowledge of building codes and how they apply to drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Chief Architect or similar).
- Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Preferred: 3+ years of related experience.
- Create accurate and detailed construction drawings within deadlines.
- Develop CAD plans using Chief Architect or similar software.
- Update and revise drawings throughout all project phases as decisions evolve.
- Perform quality checks to ensure drawings are complete, accurate, and code-compliant.
- Maintain organized drawing sets, revisions, and documentation with proper version control.
- Assist in measuring residential spaces as needed.
- Assist sales and lead designers in all aspects of projects.
- Prepare drawing deliverables for concept, presentation, and construction.
- Attend project meetings and document key decisions and changes.
- Communicate regularly with design, sales, and production teams to ensure alignment.
- Ensure drawings are completed and available on time for each phase of the project.
- Debrief project managers and production team on drawing updates and changes.
- Understand and communicate structural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical concepts within drawings.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop layouts that align with client needs and project goals.
- Support continuous improvement of drafting standards and deliverables.
- Help improve Ferguson Builders’ drafting processes and workflows.
- Maintain consistency with company drafting standards.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining project documentation systems.
