American Rooter Plumbing is a locally owned, family-operated plumbing and drain cleaning company serving the Omaha and Council Bluffs metro areas. We are growing and looking for a skilled Drain Technician who can do more than clear a line. We want someone who can assess the full system, identify underlying issues, and guide homeowners toward long-term solutions when needed.
This is a field-based, customer-facing role focused on technical expertise, clear communication, and delivering lasting results for homeowners.

About the Role
As a Drain Technician / Repipe Specialist, you will respond to residential drain service calls, diagnose root causes, and recommend appropriate repair or repipe solutions when necessary. The goal is not simply to clear a clog, but to evaluate the overall health of the plumbing system and provide homeowners with options that truly resolve the issue.
You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers understand what is happening in their home and what steps are needed to correct it.
Key Responsibilities
Perform residential drain cleaning and troubleshooting
Diagnose underlying pipe failures and recurring system issues
Conduct thorough system evaluations beyond the immediate blockage
Present clear, professional repair and repipe recommendations when appropriate
Document findings, photos, and notes accurately in ServiceTitan
Maintain organized follow-up on open estimates
Coordinate with the office and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff and execution
Deliver a professional, high-quality customer experience on every call
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience in drain cleaning or residential plumbing
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to clearly explain technical findings to homeowners
Comfort working independently in customers' homes
Organized and consistent with documentation and follow-up
Experience with ServiceTitan or similar software preferred
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Professional appearance and customer-first mindset
