Job Description
GARNEY
A Driver position is available at Garney. The Driver safely transports materials, tools, and construction equipment to and from job sites, ensuring all loads are properly secured and vehicles are well-maintained. This role also requires compliance with safety standards and supporting field crews with general labor tasks in active and sometimes congested work environments.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Transport construction materials and equipment (including large diameter pipe) using a flatbed truck, ensuring loads are safely secured
- Plan and navigate delivery routes through traffic, tight access points, and active construction sites
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and support material staging as needed
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and ensure overall vehicle cleanliness and readiness
- Follow all safety policies, use required PPE, and maintain awareness in active construction zones
- Communicate and interact professionally with coworkers, vendors, and the public
- Support field crews with general labor tasks and other duties as assigned between deliveries
- CDL Water Truck driver, loading truck with water, and applying water to job site areas as needed
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Ability to safely operate work trucks and transport construction materials and equipment
- Knowledge of proper load securement and safe handling practices
- Comfortable working in high-traffic, active construction environments with a strong focus on safety and detail
- Effective team player with the ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and project needs
- 3+ years of experience driving work trucks (or similar), with a clean driving record and construction-related experience preferred
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and experience transporting materials or operating heavy equipment is a plus
- CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement.
