Job Description
Job: Truck Driver Location: New Paltz, NY Pay: $23-26/hour BOE Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: Monday - Friday starting between 4am and 5am with occasional weekendsOverview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving .This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of goods. The Truck Driver will operate a 26 foot truck non CDL which includes a reefer and will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo.Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles*
- Load and unload freight according to company procedures and safety standards.*
- Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.*
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.*
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.*
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.*
- Assist with manual transmission driving as required by specific routes or vehicle types.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a DOT card.*
- Proven experience in commercial driving with refrigerated trailers.*
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.*
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.*
- Experience with loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.*
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.*
- Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
